In small- and medium-sized enterprises, corporate social
responsibility (CSR) chiefly involves activities internal to the firm, often
related to personnel matters. Voluntary environmental measures are not applied
very often, presumably because of relatively high efforts (in terms of time and
money) in relation to the main activities of the firm.
